Rats and curses, I’m late again this week –

1. The things I give thanks for this Thanksgiving are that we are all healthy and happy.
2. My Thanksgiving traditions include dinner, although we don’t always have it on Thanksgiving Thursday.
3. The best part about Thanksgiving is the aroma of the turkey while it’s cooking.
4. My favorite Thanksgiving food is cranberry sauce!!
5. Cooking the turkey with the innards still inside it was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me on Thanksgiving.
6. After the meal, I clean up the kitchen with Sweet Baboo, all the while still kind of picking at the leftovers.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to baking an apple pie, tomorrow my plans include watching the GrandDolly, and Sunday, I want to knit, knit, knit!!

My darling southpaws — Sweet Baboo says that GrandDolly gets her left-handedness from him. Doesn’t her face just say it all?

Very pretty in it’s way, but it also heralds the fact that Mother Nature is through fooling around with warm weather and is settling down with winter to remind us who is in charge.

- Smile a Little Smile for Me Rose Marie by The Flying Machine. I really had only one boyfriend in high school that mattered, and this was our song.
- Mud Slide Slim & the Blue Horizon by James Taylor. Spent many, many hours listening to that 8 track tape at the swimming hole with my friends in the early 70’s.
- Inna Godda Davida by Iron Butterfly. Played extensively at the teen center dances of my youth. Greatest drum solo ever no question. Danced my brains out to that song many weekends. I wonder what ever happened to my album.
- Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues. It was almost always the last dance song at teen center dances.
- Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees. It’s the only movie that I actually paid to see 8 times. John Travolta was so HOT!!
- Scarborough Fair by Simon & Garfunkel. Not for any particular reason, but that song just always touched something in me.
- The Theme from Summer of ‘42. A very sweet and nostalgic movie with a poignant soundtrack. It always just melts my heart. Still one of my favorite movies.
Sorry — can’t make it to ten on this one. Seven will have to do!!
Ten on Tuesday — come try, it’s fun!!
