Sunday Scribblings #132 —

Standard

If I had to live in a different time in history…….

A few years ago, Sweet Baboo and I checked out a Scottish Highland Games up at Loon Mountain in the Whites in New Hampshire. My family name is McGibbon and his is MacFarland, so it was interesting for us.

Both being the hopeless romantics that we are, we have always felt that we were soul mates, and even sometimes say that we knew each other in a past life.

While at the Games, we wandered into a tent that had a map of Scotland set up on an easel, displaying which areas the different clans and septs occupied.

Imagine how we felt to see that the McGibbons and MacFarlands overlapped!!  Goosebumps!!

So I’d like to go back to the mid 1700’s or so and see if there was a green eyed blond checking out a black haired handsome guy with piercing blue eyes.

I’m a romantic, but I’m not stupid.  I wouldn’t stay too long.  And I’d try to be there during the summer, so it wouldn’t be too cold or wet.  I’m pretty sure that central heating was still a couple hundred years away!!
